I welcome you, as I welcome myself

I belong (A poem for adoptees everywhere, and for anyone who feels like they don't belong)

 I belong here, Blue,

Stretched across the sky
Swelling onto the shore
My shore
I'm shore that water is me, and I am she
Moving, laughing, crashing, raging,
Ebbing, flowing, receding then approaching
Between two waves of the sea, Eliot said
Reflecting
Sparkling
Sunlight, shimmering moonlight as far as the eye can sea and beyond
to way back, far, far back and wide
right out to the raggedy edge of time, to
primordial lightning-struck oceans
star dust from space rocks in motion
o yes, I belong.
